Just a quick teaser of a shoot i did in the “boudoir room” of my house. It was a beautiful Sunday that M came by and I look forward to posting more anonymous shots soon!
RLPC- Lo Life’s, I found something that belongs to you!
On the evening of Sunday May 6th, I was on my way home from Grand Army Plaza and on my route passed by the Central Library near Prospect Park. As I was walking, I found a Polo accessory on the ground that I believe may have been misplaced by one of you. If you attended Sadat X’s video shoot outside the Museum that day and you did lose something, please describe it to me by sending me an email through my website.
If you can describe the markings and it is in fact yours, let’s figure out a time to meet so I can return it to you. I have to admit though, if you are an original Lo Life, as a photographer and a former Polo fanatic myself, I’d love to gift you a photo session to document you and your collection. I think that’s the least I could do, seeing as how I have one of your prized possessions for over a week now.
Please have a look at my website www.michelleetwaroo.com and if you are open to this please contact me ASAP. It would be greatly appreciated, here’s my card!

Andre McSween’s 2012 Headshots
I have to give this man an award- this is the third set of promotional photos that he has hired me to do for him. We decided on Cadman Plaza in Downtown Brooklyn. Here’s a snippet of some of the images we shot that day.
Because Andre is an actor and comedian, I figure we could use this to create a poster for a feature role.
We took a poll on my Facebook page to see which looked more pleasing- with out a texture or with one. . . The texture won! : )
I love this classic headshot! We’d never taken one before, probably because our shoots together have been of a comedic nature or just something edgy. But we had to get this one done.

2011 Favorites: Children
2011 was such a wonderful year! While in Jamaica during the holidays, I created my work-plan and goals for 2012. In doing so, I had to go through all my 2011 images and decided to mix it up and showcase my favorite images of children. Here are the ones I chose, some were previously published and a few are fresh to the blog.
The last sunset of 2011
Time flies- it was almost one month ago that these two images were taken. December 31st on the south coast of Jamaica- Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth… I snapped these right before the family and I headed to a New Years Eve countdown party.
4:54pm- It started to get a little hazy. I figured, why not slap on a sepia.
4:58pm- This image is not over manipulated. I just boosted the color a bit.
2011 Vision Board
Reblogged from Photography by Michelle Etwaroo:
2010…Oh how I am so glad that last year is gone and never to return. 2010 was an incredibly difficult year for me. Every month was like a soap opera playing out, from January right on down to December. I had, not one but, two immediate family members pass away back to back (one in February and the other in March).

Boxing Day at Treasure Beach Jamaica
I was fortunate to visit Treasure Beach with my family for the first time during my trip Jamaica this past holiday. This beach is only an hour away from my residence along the south coast. It was a beautiful day. However, once we arrived we got a bit of news that made us have to turn around. So I didn’t do anything, but order a mixed drink at Jack Sprat, walk to the beach, looked around a bit, then got back in the van. We drove all the way to Linstead to tend to family business. Here are some photos of my short visit to Treasure Beach with some details of the bar at Jack Sprat.
There’s a lot of kitschy old memorabilia hung on the pillars around the bar. The ground serves as a reflector in this shot.
They had an old-time juke box!
Such a cute sign, one of my favorite images from the set. The colors are so “Jamaica” and i just love the juxtaposition of that photo on the bottom right (giggle).
This is my other fave!
Irie Vibes…Natural Mystic! : )
I envy the folks that live in those houses on the cliffs. Ill return to Treasure Beach, and the next time ill make it to The Pelican Bar!
Until next time – XOXO

Why Wedding Photographers Prices are "Wack" | Erie PA Wedding Photographer Response
Reblogged from Erie PA Photographer:
Earlier today my friend and fellow photographer posted a link to a craigslist ad from a woman in Seattle looking for a wedding photographer.
The woman was upset because she thought that $3000 for a wedding photographer was “wack” because all we do “is hang out at a wedding taking tons of photos and editing them” and that we are “making so much money its crazy.”

A Family Shoot in Stuyvesant Heights
I really enjoyed photographing families last year. One of the last sessions I did was in October with Robin, Will, and her pet hens- General Tso and Potpie. Robin and I met in 2007 when she had just started The Clinton Hill Blog and I had just landed the job at PACC. We’ve kept in touch all this time and I was so thrilled to visit the family at their beautiful turn of the century home and snap a few pics for her.
Seeing Robin’s home life, I cant imagine knowing a couple that lives more sustainable and I just adore their backyard. It’s very quaint and makes for an ideal place to take photos; loads of textures (brick, wood, straw fencing, etc.) and moderate northern exposure…
…doesn’t Robin look lovely back-lit? this is one of my favorite pics! It was so tough getting this photo because i began cracking up when the hens decided to run back and forth in the background- lol.
General Tso in the foreground, Potpie in the back.
The hens, love blueberries!
The moment Robin picked up General Tso, the hen immediately showed off her profile for me : )
I hope, if Robin decides to do a lifestyle blog, that this photo is used as a banner. The wood in the background is reclaimed from an unwanted shed the couple found on the internet. They took it apart and used it against the divider. It makes for a unique installation and conversation piece!
I just love a happy ending, don’t you? Thanks for having me, Robin, Will, Potpie, General Tso and their sweet puppy that passed away this week- Mallow.
