Hey, I’d like to share my favorite blog post of all time- 2011 Vision Board. Last year I put together a “board” that has images of all my dreams and desires. Such a cute sign, one of my favorite images from the set. The colors are so “Jamaica” and i just love the juxtaposition of that photo on the bottom right (giggle).

Earlier today my friend and fellow photographer posted a link to a craigslist ad from a woman in Seattle looking for a wedding photographer. The woman was upset because she thought that $3000 for a wedding photographer was “wack” because all we do “is hang out at a wedding taking tons of photos and editing them” and that we are “making so much money its crazy.” I first read this post earlier today while I was running errands and my head almost EXPLODED.  I immediately started drafting a horribly mean and …

I came across this screen shot of an ad a disgruntled woman posted on craigslist while searching for a “cheap” wedding photographer. if anyone has ever wondered why photography, specifically wedding photography, is so expensive please read on. This ad has lit the wedding and portrait photography industry by storm. I wonder if she “gets” it now. Thank you Nikki Wagner for responding to this woman in a dignified and detailed way.

Seeing Robin’s home life, I cant imagine knowing a couple that lives more sustainable and I just adore their backyard. It’s very quaint and makes for an ideal place to take photos; loads of textures (brick, wood, straw fencing, etc.) and moderate northern exposure…

…doesn’t Robin look lovely back-lit? this is one of my favorite pics! It was so tough getting this photo because i began cracking up when the hens decided to run back and forth in the background- lol.

The moment Robin picked up General Tso, the hen immediately showed off her profile for me : )

I hope, if Robin decides to do a lifestyle blog, that this photo is used as a banner. The wood in the background is reclaimed from an unwanted  shed the couple found on the internet. They took it apart and used it against the divider. It makes for a unique installation and conversation piece!

…and caught this shot. Seeing this precious little girl just makes my ovaries hurt. lol!

Streaker Sports hired me to document their 2nd Annual WingFest this past Saturday. WingFest is a competition where BBQ Restaurants compete for the title of Best Wings in NYC! The event was held at the Boat Basin Cafe, along the Henry Hudson Parkway near Riverside Park and weather was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! There are so many pics from this set, lets just get right into it! I may have to break this post up into 2 (maybe even three parts! EEK!) The day was beautiful and so were the people in attendance. Please let me know if you were there by leaving me a comment.

Sunglasses that can also open  bottle of beer? YES PLEASE!!! Brewsees were awesome and let me test drive a pair. “Real Wo-Men Pry!”

DUKES!!! The crew from Dukes BBQ were so much fun! Personality was flowing the moment I got to their booth.

I began taking some action photos and saw a golden chicken vying for a cameo LOL! Do you see where the chef put it?

Yep! Duke’s was last years WingFest Champion! Looks like Duke’s BBQ even marinates their trophies (he he he).

There were a lot of love birds on Saturday. This lovely couple was so photogenic- another fave of mine. I just ♥ her body language.
