Miss M’s Headshots Session in Lefferts Garden’s Brooklyn

Hey friends! Just want to share this sample of images I took for a consultant in NYC. She wanted an update to her networking profiles. So I thought I’d give her a variety of photos that could be used in different ways across the board:

– headshot with negative space for a talking point/introduction slide in a presentation
– traditional headshots (both left facing and right facing)
– non smiling headshot
– standing headshots and my favorite,
– an edgy alpha shot for women in a male dominant industry.

Would you like to see more examples of how I pose Women with a (feminine vs masculine energy) in their headshots? Ladies, do you want a more aggressive headshot vs a smiling one?

NYC NonProfit Photography:: Megan Summer’s Kidney Disease Takes Turn For The Worse

Hello Everyone! I’ve been working on a series of non-profit projects that particularly affect women and their families. I wish i could go more into the project but this leg of it is very urgent. I allowed Natilee McSween (wife of Comedian Andre McSween, one of my client all stars) to write this blog post for you. Here it is in her words, please support the cause or share the story.

“My name is Natilee Tracy McSween. My 8 year old daughter, Megan Summer, will have her left kidney completely removed on 2/25/15. Our lives were permanently changed the day that Megan Summer McSween was born. Pregnancy with Megan wasn’t easy and we knew that life after her birth would be just as difficult. But, we had no clue what the journey and toll would be like.

When I was 4 months pregnant, we found out that Megan would be born with Bilateral Hydronephrosis (water in the kidney that obstructs and prevents normal renal functions). Since then, the many surgeries, the pains and the ‘what if’s’ are everyday moments. Every time Megan goes in for another scan or surgery, the anxiety that sets in as you hope this will be her last… Then the sad reality knowing the doctors could find something else.

It’s not easy and it never will be when your child is hurting, rattled and shaking with pain and you can never, ever, EVER do anything to take the pain away or ease her fears; or better yet the fears you as her parent and caretaker has.

All I can do is hold her little hands, as she squeezes mine and asks me to “Make the pain stop”. Or when she looks at her doctor after another scan and she asks “so when is the next surgery?”. At night I often have to rub her lower back to help ease her pain as she tries to sleep. There’s no tea or any other remedy to make her ever feel better, just pain meds. I kiss her forehead every night thinking (better yet hoping) will she have a peaceful, painless sleep tonight? I have done this every night, since the day I gave birth. Yet still, we are blessed to see how far she’s come despite the odds; my tiny itty bitty 5 pound baby girl with the perfect circular head. It’s these little moments, we have to help get us through.

This journey is not one that I can say is easy, it’s not a journey for a person that cannot take the hiccups that Pediatric Kidney Disease might offer. You have to have faith and you have to know that even with that faith, life will happen. When it does you just have to prepare for the next phase in the journey. Despite all we go through, it’s these simple words of Megan Summer “I Have No Worries, Just Keep Blowing Bubbles” that inspires me to keep fighting for her.”

NYC Corporate Headshot Photography

It was my pleasure to head to a well known ad agency on Madison Avenue to do some corporate head shots. These pictures are to be used in communications between their New York and London offices. I offer this service to companies looking to create a professional look and want a uniform set of images. The staff here are really colorful and had their own individual laidback style, which added to why i enjoyed taking these pictures. Anyone looking for a headshot package for their employees, please use the contact form at the end of this post. Thanks for reading!

Professional Portrait Photography in Brooklyn

Check out this lovely session I photographed of Lina. She was looking for some versatile photos that could be used both personally and professionally. I feel like we made magic that day. Lets start with wardrobe: Lina bought two outfits to wear in front of the camera, two dresses that flattered her shape perfectly! Including a gorgeous black lace dress.

Thalia D, outdid herself on the makeover. Because as natural as the makeup is, Lina looks exquisite…LESS is MORE! On that day we got beautiful pictures that Lina will cherish forever. Here is a small sample of the images we got:

Brigitte Bardot Inspires A Glamour Photo Shoot in Brooklyn

Let me start this post out by saying, I am so proud of this styled shoot Thalia, the queen of makeovers, and I collaborated on. Jenny wanted to be made over in the essence of French model, Brigitte Bardot. she wanted a set of images that evoked sexy, classy and tasteful. So for makeup, Thalia gave her smoldering black eyes, thick black lashes, matte nude lips and a fresh face with just a tiny bit of rouge to emulate the sultry French starlet. For hair, we gave her large pin curls to start Brigitte’s iconic, half updo. Along with a smoking hot outfit, I advised Jenny to bring an item that she cherished. So besides her morning “cup of joe”, lol, she bought a pretty silver art deco, chunky necklace.

Jenny wore only three things in these photos and although it sounds a bit sassy, she definitely looks beautiful and timeless. Keep in mind, Jenny is not a model, she is an every day woman and mother of a young child who learned about my services online.  So without further ado, here are a few pics from the ‘Jenny as Brigitte’ shoot.
