Sorry for the delay, I was going to blog last night but got caught up with my newest addiction, Homeland which airs on Showtime. Without any hesitation here’s part 3 of the 2011 NYC WingFest hosted by Streaker Sports at the Boat Basin Cafe…Just want to wrap up the coverage by featuring some smiling faces and shout out the vendors:

NYC WingFest 2011 (Part 2!)

Part two of the 2011 NYC WingFest presented by Streaker Sports and BroBible at the Boat Basin Cafe…The sun was out, the smell of the wings was in the air , drinks were flowing and the view was sweeeeet!

So, I went up to the seating in the “bullseye” to see what was going on up there… Here’s who I found – LOL!

Drinking games were the primary activity.

Hopped inside to find lots of families and, what seemed like, old friends just letting loose…

…and being silly…

…and laughing like no one is watching…

…and cozying up with one another.

Hey guys, I hear that WingFest is an ideal place to meet a new lady-friend.

Oh, and the fellas were hot too! ; )

Just as the sun began to set, I doubled back to chat with the ladies of East End Bar & Grill, then turned around…

…and caught this shot. Seeing this precious little girl just makes my ovaries hurt. lol!

Do you see the chicken carved onto the Dukes BBQ pumpkin? It has a crown.

Another all-time favorite image of mine! This photograph captures the entire day in one single frame. The t-shirt says, “The Ultimate Wingman”

NYC WingFest 2011 at the Boat Basin Cafe

Streaker Sports hired me to document their 2nd Annual WingFest this past Saturday. WingFest is a competition where BBQ Restaurants compete for the title of Best Wings in NYC! The event was held at the Boat Basin Cafe, along the Henry Hudson Parkway near Riverside Park and weather was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous! There are so many pics from this set, lets just get right into it! I may have to break this post up into 2 (maybe even three parts! EEK!) The day was beautiful and so were the people in attendance. Please let me know if you were there by leaving me a comment.

Sunglasses that can also open bottle of beer? YES PLEASE!!! Brewsees were awesome and let me test drive a pair. “Real Wo-Men Pry!”

I just adore the packaging for Hill Country Kitchen.

DUKES!!! The crew from Dukes BBQ were so much fun! Personality was flowing the moment I got to their booth.

I began taking some action photos and saw a golden chicken vying for a cameo LOL! Do you see where the chef put it?

Yep! Duke’s was last years WingFest Champion! Looks like Duke’s BBQ even marinates their trophies (he he he).

There were a lot of love birds on Saturday. This lovely couple was so photogenic- another fave of mine. I just ♥ her body language.

So much sun and fun!

Morales Family | Long Island City

I was invited to to take some family portraits of Elizabeth, Aris and their bundle of joy, AJ near their home in Long Island City. I was so happy that the day finally came for us to make the shoot a reality. Every time we planned the session, it rained! We first picked a date in July, then August. On the third attempt, Hurricane Irene hit. Mother Nature finally cut us a break the forth time and we headed to Gantry State Park, which is right on the water across from FDR Drive. The view over there is something to see!
